 Wicker Park's loss is Uptown's gain. Due to the closure of the Congress, the July 5 Marilyn Manson concert has been moved to the Riviera theater in Uptown.

We are so excited to hear that LA Fitness, a national gym chain, will be opening in Edgewater at 6101 N. Broadway. The gym will be a welcome addition to the neighborhood and give its proximity to our B&B will offer our guests a great opportunity to work out while traveling. We will be working with the gym to negotiate discounted day passes for guests at our inn. Stay tuned.
Noon Hour Grill
Dive diners seem to be a dying breed. Yet there are still some hold outs. Here is a pic of a one woman diner in Rogers Park by the name Noon Hour Grill. Three eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast for $6.75. Can't beat that. Located at 6930 N Glenwood, just steps from the Morse Red Line stop.
 Northwestern University Class of 2013 get their diplomas the weekend of June 21. Are you in town for the ceremonies? We have rooms available June 22 and June 23, but hurry, they will go fast. We are located only a short distance from the University along the north lakefront of Chicago.
Congrats to the graduates  I case you haven't heard, the Rolling Stones are in town for a tour kickoff concert at the United Center.

 It's that time of year again....annual city inspections. Yes, each year our bed & breakfast undergoes a City of Chicago inspection as a part of our license renewal. The inspection includes and on-site review by the Chicago Fire Department. Fire extinguishers are checked for current year service tags (an outdated yellow inspection tag is a tell tale sign of no recent inspection). Of particular interest are smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Of course each must be in working order. Additionally, fire safety evacuation maps must be posted in each guest room. The Department of Buildings inspects our physical structure for soundness and maintenance to identify issues that could affect public safety. These protections are all part and parcel of staying in a licensed B&B. As yourself if the vacation rental you found on Craigslist or AirBNB affords the same piece of mind.
